VISIT NC // Elkin

– Unwinding in the Foothills –

From the Outer Banks to the Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina has racked up some serious tourism clout. But many people wouldn’t know that it also boasts small-town charm in the middle of a growing winery region! Bringing new attention to NC’s hidden gems is part of the idea behind Firsts that Last—a documentary film festival from Visit North Carolina, our state’s leading tourism organization.

When Visit NC tapped our team to create the campaign for the festival, we were elated—and ready to roll. You can read about our work in Washington, NC here; our second shoot captured the character of Elkin, a small town in the Foothills. We depicted our idea of the perfect late-summer Saturday: delicious food, a beautiful hike, and sampling some local wine and cider.

Our team handled every aspect of production in Elkin, including location scouting, casting, and coordinating with community groups and local businesses. Together, we created stills and videos that show off our state’s beauty and charm. We’re always proud to give people more reasons to come hang out in North Carolina—and exploring new places reminds us that there’s always more to see.
